Volunteer Compliance

Volunteer On-Boarding Process

  1. Volunteers see options to volunteer on our website and are directed to ClearCompany applications based on interest.
  2. All volunteers will complete an applicant online using ClearCompany
  3. After volunteers submit an application Marquis will send compliance items
  4. After compliance is completed Marquis will enter the volunteer into FedCheck
  5. After the volunteer is entered into FedCheck Marques will enter the volunteer into Volunteer Hub.
  6. Once steps 1-5 are completed, the volunteer will get a welcome email with their Volunteer Hub login details.

Volunteer (Adult) -In Person

All adult volunteers must complete or provide the following prior to starting:

  • Complete a volunteer application
  • Live Scan fingerprinting clearance
  • Mandated reporter training certification
  • Sexual harassment training certification
  • TB test results (must be within 2 years from start date)
  • Covid Vaccine
  • Entered FedCheck (GREEN FLAG “OK TO ENTER”)

Volunteer (Adult) - Virtual

All virtual volunteers must complete or provide the following prior to starting:

  • Complete a volunteer application
  • Live Scan fingerprinting clearance
  • Mandated reporter training certification
  • Sexual harassment training certification
  • Entered FedCheck (RED FLAG “DO NOT ENTER”)
  • Must be over the age of 18 unless approved by VP, Operations and Head of Volunteerism

 

Volunteer (Minor)

All minor volunteers must complete or provide the following prior to starting:

  • Volunteer waiver signed (by both minor and parent/guardian)
  • Parental consent signed
  • Background check clearance
    • Minors under the age of 14: Not required
    • Minors over the age of 14: Sterling background check
  • Mandated reporter training certification
    • Minors under the age of 14: Not required
    • Minors over the age of 14: Required
  • TB test results (must be within 2 years from start date)
    • Minors under the age of 14: In lieu of the TB test, must provide a copy of immunization record; otherwise, must take TB test
    • Minors over the age of 14: Required
  • Covid Vaccine
    • Minors over the age of 12: Required

Additionally, guidelines for minor volunteers under the age of 14 only:

  • All minor volunteers under the age of 14 must always be accompanied by an adult

One-Time Volunteer

All one-time volunteers must complete or provide the following prior to starting:

  • Complete FedCheck when they arrive on-site
  • Volunteers between the ages of 12-16 are strictly prohibited from supporting in the kitchen, except for serving food and setting up for food distribution
  • If one-time volunteer is a minor under the age of 14:
    • Must be accompanied by adult
    • Accompanying adult must sign a volunteer waiver

If any individual were to volunteer more than once, then they must complete all requirements that are required of a regular volunteer (adult or minor) before they can volunteer again.
