Pinning Documents for Quick Access (Microsoft 365)

In the Browser​

  1. ​​​Log into Office 365 with your VSB email
  2. Locate your file

    A) If you have worked on it recently, find the Recent Section on the Office 365 landing page and skip to Step 4



    OR

    B) If you have not worked on them, then navigate to your file​, open the file and continue to Step 3
  3. click on "Office ​365  " from the Quick App Launcher to return to your Office 365 landing page 
     

  4. Hover over the file and click on the pin icon to the right of the file name

  5. Now your file is accessible under the Pinned Section

In the Microsoft Office Suite Desktop Tools

​Please note: screenshots may vary slightly depending on whether you have the latest Office Suites, but the steps will be similar.​

  1. ​​Click the Microsoft Office Suite tool (ex. Word)  on your computer
  2. ​​Locate your file

    A) If you have worked on it recently, look through the Recent sections on the tool home and skip to Step 4



    OR

    B) If you have not worked on them, then navigate to your file, open it and then continue to Step 3
  3. Click on File >  then the Home icon and you should see it under the Recent section

  4. Hover over the file and click on the pin icon to the right at the end of the row​

  5. Now your file is accessible under the Pinned Section

In the Microsoft Office Suite Mobile Apps

​​​​​​Please note: screenshots may vary slightly depending on the type of tablet or mobile devices, but the steps will be similar.

  1. ​​​Click on the Microsoft Office Suite Mobile App on your tablet or mobile phone
  2. ​​Locate your file

    A) If you have worked on it recently, look through the Recent section of the app and then skip to Step 4

    OR

    B) If you have not worked on them, click on Open icon, find and open the file once, and close it

  3. Click  on the Recent icon to return to the list of Documents 
  4. Click on the "  ​​​" to the right of the file name and select Pin to List

  5. Now your file is accessible under the Pinned Section
